fp gist : A Female Student Attempted Suicide Over Failure to Gain Admission.......
Information has it that a 24-year old female pre-degree student of a
university in the south-south region of the country attempted to take
her own life after she failed to gain admission in the degree programmes
of the university.
It was learnt that after she went through the names of admitted students
and found out that her name was not among; she started nursing the idea
of poisoning herself which she later did.
However, her roommate who happened to be around her when she took the
poison noticed what was going on and immediately called for help and she
was rushed to the hospital.
In the hospital she was given some drugs to quickly flush out the poison from her system.
According to the doctor she would have died if not for the quick medical response.
